Direct Anterior Hip Replacement
Dr. Tucker utilizes the direct anterior hip replacement approach for the majority of his patients who need hip replacement. With the anterior approach, the incision is made at the front of the hip, which allows Dr. Tucker to complete the hip replacement without having to detach any muscles or tendons. This results in less pain during recovery and a quicker recovery process.

Minimally Invasive Knee Replacement
Recovery from traditional knee replacement surgery can be a rather lengthy and painful process, in part due to the fact that the quadriceps tendon is cut to access the knee. Dr. Tucker utilizes a minimally invasive approach for knee replacement, which protects the quadriceps tendon. This leads to less pain during recovery and a more natural-feeling knee.
Robotic Knee Replacement
Dr. Tucker uses the Corin Robotics navigation system for the majority of his primary knee replacement patients. Robotic knee replacement offers several benefits over traditional knee replacement, including greater accuracy in sizing and placement of the knee replacement implants, better balancing of the new knee along with minimizing the need for surgical dissection which results in a more natural-feeling knee when combined with the minimally invasive, quadriceps sparing approach.
Same Day / Outpatient Joint Replacement
Dr. Tucker and his practice offer outpatient joint replacement for patients who are younger, active, and medically fit, allowing them to return home the day of surgery. Many patients feel more comfortable recovering at home. This can lead to a quicker recovery, with patients getting up and moving sooner after surgery.
